Jayne Peace Pyle and Jinx Pyle are descendants of pioneer families in northern Gila County in Arizona.  They showcased over 160 photos from their personal collection to give you a view of Payson's rich Western heritage in this book.

Below the escarpment of the Mogollon Rim, settlers started moving into the Green Valley are (now Payson) in 1882, and a couple of years hence, began the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo. The tradition continues today.  Payson is a natural delight, a place to hike, bike, fish, hunt and camp.
